Good Morning ! Hope you all have had a fabulous week:) Hard to believe June is already coming to a close. I had a member of the farm remind me of the Fourth of July yesterday and I was actually shocked to realize how close that is! With that being said….I was thinking that I would still harvest July 3 as usual, but realized many of you may be out of town enjoying the holiday, therefore, produce delivery for the week of July 2-8 will be on WEDNESDAY, JULY 5. If you will be out of town or need to make different arrangements to pick up your share…please let me know and we can figure it out accordingly. Thanks so much !
I hope you are all making use of your greens. I realize your boxes have been full of them, but I am so grateful for such great crops this time of year before the “regulars” start ripening. I encourage you to try something new this week or even freeze some of your extras and toss them into smoothies later!
Here’s a twist on the basic tuna wrap I shared the recipe for a few weeks back. Rachel DeYoung is a foodie friend of mine and fellow shareholder at the farm and literally makes you WANT to eat your healthy greens. She made a tuna bok choy wrap and topped it with chickpeas, roasted in olive oil, garlic, onion powder and sea salt, then topped it with hot sauce…YUM! Thanks for the awesome idea Rach!
Here’s what you can look forward to next week with your share!
Collards (just 2 more weeks of these)
Bok choy and/or Tat soi (last week!)
Lettuce Mix (last week of this blend)
RECIPES TO TRY
Garlic Parmesan Roasted Cauliflower
Oven Baked Whole Roasted Cauliflower
Roasted Cauliflower Salad with Parsley
Healthy Black Bean Jalapeno Popper Egg Rolls
Jalapeno Lime Chicken Marinade
No Fail Sea Salt and Garlic Kale Chips
Thankful for all of you! Have a great weekend:)
Good Morning ! I don’t know about you guys but we’ve been having a rain dance marathon over here …and hopefully the Good Lord blesses us with some serious moisture soon. So, the jitters of week 1 drop off/pick up have passed, and it was so good to reconnect with many of you again! Thank you so much for being patient while I work out the delivery end of the farm this year.
So, what can you plan on in your box next week?
Kale (Fizz Kale and Blue Curled Kale)
Tat Soi and/or Bok Choy
Peas (snow/sugar snap)
Also, I have eggs for sale for $3 / dozen on a first come-first serve basis. Our chickens are fed organic and are considered free range . Just shoot me an email if you’d like them added to your order this week.
I hope you are enjoying the recipes from last week! So far I have made, the strawberry basil chicken, chicken sausage, sweet potato and kale hash, and strawberry smashed avocado toast (over Ezekial toast with hemp seeds sprinkled on top). We are planning on Tuna Wraps for lunch a day this week with either the Collards or Bok Choy leaves and I bought the extra ingredients for kale brownies…I cannot wait to try!
Here are some recipe ideas for this week
Kale and Kohlrabi Salad
Roasted Radishes and Broccoli Raab
French Breakfast Radishes on Toast
Roasted Radishes (my favorite way to eat them)
So, which recipes are you going to try next week? Hope you are all having a great one so far ! And if you could….keep on dancin’ for that rain, sound good?

Good morning ! Hope this blog post finds you all well on this Wednesday morning:) Looks like we have some warm weather on the horizon…just in time for summer break to officially begin…woohoo! We are so excited to begin our deliveries on Monday, I am working on a route as we speak. If you haven’t sent your address to firstname.lastname@example.org please do so, so that I can make sure I have you covered. Just a reminder, to those partaking in delivery, a cooler in a shady spot is highly recommended if you will not be home. The weather looks to be hitting 90 degrees Monday and I want you to come home to fresh vegetables rather than sad ones. I plan to deliver in the afternoon.
If you plan to pick up Monday or Tuesday, please let me know what time you are thinking so I can make arrangements for your produce as well:)
