It’s garden time, folks!! Memorial Day weekend, to me, has always been the unofficial ¨plant your garden¨ weekend. We’ve been slowly adding plants to garden, but this weekend I will be able to officially say that everything is in the ground. Whoop Whoop! Succession plantings of onions, peas, beans and lettuces have already been starting and will continue as we aim to keep the produce coming all summer long.
We’ve been putting in extra time to get things planted….my little helpers spent a morning in the mud with me on Wednesday:)
The wet week we had last week set us back just a touch, as the potatoes and a few other things were put in late. I would like to think of it as a blessing in disguise, however, as the tomatoes that should have been in the ground, would NOT have tolerated well to the low temps we had Wednesday night.
Here are a few pics from the past couple of weeks…can’t wait to show you how things are looking after this weekend!! Left to right and top to bottom:) Broccoli, Kale, Cabbage, Sugar Snap Peas, Spinach, Green Beans, Peppers
Wishing you all a great weekend remembering and honoring those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom. God Bless!
